Podcasting Hackathon
At the inaugural Africa Media Festival, an event hosted by Baraza Media Lab on February 14-15th gathered a pan-African media fraternity, the first ever podcasting hackathon in the East African region took place.
Baraza Media Lab collaborated with PRX (Public Radio Exchange) a non-profit public media company based in the United States, that specialises in audio journalism and storytelling; to bring together media professionals, podcasters, data scientists and tech innovators for a two-day sprint to engage in useful design solutions for African podcasters.
The Hackathon event saw six teams of five brainstorm and ideate, guided by podcasting and tech facilitators through problem solving which culminated in prototype presentations. The final presentations were inspiring, ingenious, and relevant to our emerging podcast scene.
